Hope everyone has a good way to cool down today and this weekend because there is no relief in sight.
Hit the pool, keep it [img]cool.gif[/img] do what you gotta do (within reason and keep it legal)
Saw a bunch of kids, and a few adults enjoying the fountain/pool down at yeatmans cove on my way back to my truck after the ballgame today.

But it was a series split, which isnt bad or good.

We were in Phoenix the previous weekend (yeah, that's the kind of trips I take) where it was 115 degrees of "dry heat". I'll hafta walk around today to compare our humid 98 degrees...

Great day to go to the movies or even just go window shopping (or regular shopping) at a mall or something for a couple hours to beat the heat.

Yikes! Come on down to the Gulf Coast if you want to feel cooler. Only 90* here with lows in the mid 70s at night. We almost always have that nice sea breeze too which keeps it from getting too oppressive. You have my condolences. I saw on the weather that your temps should moderate by Wednesday to the low 80s for the highs. Won't that feel nice! Stay cool folks, don't over do it outside. I'm so used to being outside working in the yard and at the beach when it's in the mid 90s the heat doesn't bother me so long as there is a breeze. No breeze and even I don't like it that hot. Won't be long and it will be fall so hang in there....Hope you have a nice and long fall this year before it goes right into winter..

Gonna be high 90's again on Tuesday, but then it's supposed to drop down into the low to mid 80's for the rest of the week.

According to weather.com, a high of just 77 tomorrow! It'll feel like heaven!
While I was indoors yesterday from 7am to 5:15pm, when I went outside it was very toasty but not unbearable. Even stooped for an hour and a half as the sun went down. Quite warm but not oppressive.
Maybe it's because I missed the worst of it, but I didn't think it was as bad as many have made it out to be.
Wasnt nearly as bad last night, and it should start cooling down tonight.
It was ugly freaky hot yesterday afternoon though.
It was in the low 90s yesterday and going to be in the mid 90s today but I can still shut the A/C off at night and have the bedroom window open with the ceiling fan going. Maybe it's from having been raised in Ohio and not used to central A/C, but I find it difficult to sleep with the A/C on all night. I like to hear the sound of crickets and the leaves rustling outside my window. Some of my neighbors run their A/C units 24/7/365. Ugh! One nice surprise, I coated my roof white again about a month ago and have a new A/C unit from my other one breaking down. I originally had a black shingle roof. Black roof in Florida how dumb is that! But it has to be recoated every summer to be the most effective. So I gave it a fresh coat of white in early July. My electric bill was $180 last month, this month it is $115 and my place is twice as comfortable as it was a month ago....
